Last year was one of the best years for me when it came to live music. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be varied: I saw Lianne La Havas, went to Future Music, Groovin the Moo, Splendour in the Grass (the holy grail), and I also saw 1D (no one saw that one coming).
Not only is Alex Turner one of the best lyricists of our time, he also makes me want to gel my hair up into a quiff, throw on a battered leather jacket and ride off into the sunset on a motorcycle.
